  3. Hey Chris,
I’m a new flyer just getting back into Club and OLR. I think your information is very valuable but seems to be obsolete. I see excerpts from the late 1990’s to the 2015’s. I currently see the industry is constantly changing. Back in those days antibiotics was at its all time high. But today and since I got back into the sport the trend is moving in building the birds immune system naturally. From within the bird and supported with lots of minerals and a handful vitamins. Using some natural supplements such as promoting gut flora, pro/probiotics, RedCell in drinking water, and products from Kastle Pigeon Products Supply. Natural products like Oregano, Garlic or Moringa powder promotes strong healthy immune system naturally. Vaccines such as PMV, Salmonella, Rota Virus, Pox are used to protect healthy birds from sick birds in the loft. I think old school flyers will continue to treat their birds full on with antibiotics and multi treatment products. Especially during the competitive seasons. The problem is when they send birds to OLR’S and mixed with the other birds. they’re not protected from a simple bacteria infection or stress because those birds won’t be re-treated during the trainings and race periods. Thus, those birds will not perform well.

This is just something that comes to my mind. Hope this helps.
    Lets keep in touch.
    Thank you,
    George C Lorenzo
