Best tip given to me was to join a racing club and get to know the older members. They are all retired and happy to help new members

The best tip I could honestly give a new starter, is get to know the nutritional needs of your birds. Learn all there is to learn. Then build on that.

Best tip I could give you would be to join The Pigeon Insider! lol just kidding. My tip although not very technical is make sure to keep it fun and enjoyable!. It's a great hobby, past time and sport and don't get to caught up in all the hoopla. Thats my honest opinion.

Listen to what others have to share, but remember everyone is entitled to their own opinions, it' won't take long for you to figure out who is helping and who is just out for themselves.
Remember, your best friend and learning tool, is your basket.
Never be afraid to ask a question, from what I have seen so far, there are allot of knowledgeable pigeon people here, willing to help and share.
Yours in Sport

First of all is remember your birds are as good as you are to them!! Be sure your have Quality birds, and don't buy everything you see. Don't waste your time on bad birds. Enjoy the birds and the sport. Bob

That is an open ended question, kinda like asking for advice on women...no disrespect to women intended, I have five daughters (so I spend most of my time out in the loft, lol)

All the above are great places to start, but there is much to learn and it does take time. Ask lots of questions, and do not assume anything.

Looks like coming here was a good start
