  1. hi chris..here in south africa we nearing the end of our racing season and it being my 2nd year in this sport im very happy with what iv achieved thus far. iv won my 1st federation race about 3weeks back and im curently lying 9th fed and 11th union and its all because of this site,so thank you very much!! there are a few things that i am disapointed about though..i always seem 2 only get 1 bird back in a good time but the rest is always late whilst the best fanciers are getting 3,4,5 birds back in a good time..what am i doing wrong or what could it be? another question, seeing that our racing season begins in june what is the best time to breed your yearlings and what can i feed the parents and youngsters for good strong healthy yearlings?

    thanking you very much
    saeed

  2. I would like to know more about the health of pigeons for breeding. What is a good all year programme for stock birds to ensure babies are healthy with good solid droppings as appose to squarting droppings I so often get around the nest. The second aspect is to know when is best to start training babies. Here I mean outside the loft. I find when I let them out to early they battle to get back in side and often stay long outside (many nights) and by the time they come in their health has deteriorated and bring in lose droppings. If I let them out when they to strong then at first outing, they take to the sky and get lost and/or are away for a few nights. Thanks

  3. 1st i would like more info on young bird racing the training and the feeding of them and how to get them to come together and trap without flying around and around building a better flock of young birds and making them more competitive

2nd would be those people in our sport and out of it who are trying to kill our sport those in it like the ones who have to have every thing there way or they try to disrupt the clubs workings next are the pigeon merchants who are always out for a buck and sale a lot of crap to those trying to learn how to fly pigeons and are convinced that all theses new families of birds are better than anything out there when it is not true then we have those outside of our sport the animal rights people and city officers who ban them from our cities but you can have dogs and cats that bite and shit all over bark all night and that sometimes kill people i have never herd of a pigeon killing someone most pigeon people are good owners of there birds they control them and clean and keep them very healthy witch is more than i can say for most dog owners

3rd i fee what is most important to me to be successful in our sport is to help new flyers learn how to fly these great birds and to be successful doing it to be consideration for others in the sport to help others also with training feeding and to pass on the help that they got from me i never have felt that i needed to win races to be on top it is the great feeling i get from watching my students succeed and in turn watching them help out a new flyer the way i did with them
